We implement and provide quality water, sanitation and hygiene services that contribute to health and creating wealth to alleviate poverty using the systems approach: services that meet the needs of households in both rural and urban communities. It is inherent in the products and services our WASH projects provide to serve the needs of the bottom of the pyramid group using innovation, technology and market-based approaches.

Yussif Abdul-Rahaman
Executive Director of Pumping is Life and hence the Team Leader of Projects. He is hard working and dedicated to duty. His responsibilities include defining the policy direction of Pumping is Life in terms of designing innovative but sustainable projects whose services meets the needs of beneficiaries and the expectations of stakeholders.
Ziblila Salman Faris
Plays several roles in the team. His roles include conducting community entries, data collection and coordination of all field activities. He is a trainee of University for Development Studies and holds a BSc Agriculture Technology.
Abdulai Issah
Plays a role in the manufacture of spare parts and conducts routine repair of pumps to improve on the services of water supply facilities. He is also an entrepreneur and manages the Janga WASH maintenance center. He is a trainee of Jan van Dijk and Gerrit van Roekel.
Tidow Azuma
Senior manufacturer of rope pumps and its parts, with 8 years and wields vast experience. He is trainee of Dolf Heubers and Henk Holtslag from The Netherlands
Bukari Rahaman
He is a trainee of Tidow and has also in the past received training from Henk Holtslag and Dolf Heubers. He is an entrepreneur and the operator of the WASH maintenance center in Walewale. The center provides spare parts and repair services of water and sanitation facilities.
Mathew Tia
He is the Manual Drilling Crew leader and a senior in the activities of Pumping is Life. He is a trainee of Jan van Dijk, Henk Holtslag and Arnold van Decamp in manual drilling. He is also an entrepreneur.
Sulemana Wuni
He is the latrine artisan of Pumping is Life and was trained by Mr. Nathanial in the construction of household latrines using appropriate technologies.
Bukari Issahaku
He is a trainee of Jan van Dijk, Henk Holtslag and Arnold van De Camp in manual drilling using rota sludge and cable tool percussion technologies.
